I'm a technologist and a researcher
And all about the Oxford comma.

Hi, I'm Adam Abernathy. After 15+ years in the industry, I've learned a few things about computers and what we can do with them. I think the future is bright, and I'm very interested in how technology is impacting and changing our current lives.
I'm a technologist, researcher, and writer focused on data, AI, and digital discoverability. My recent work explores how search is fragmenting beyond Google, how AI is reshaping attribution and citation, and what that means for the businesses trying to get found online.
My career has spanned a few industries, all with the same goal: improving them through practical uses of technology. I've built patient experience products at Heartland Dental, real-time weather networks and NASA satellite algorithms at Synoptic Data and the University of Utah, and led research programs on search and structured data at Yext. These roles sharpened my technical skills, strategic thinking, and respect for data-driven decision-making.
My work with Fortune 500 companies and emerging brands on technical SEO, systems integrations, and revenue-focused strategy has helped them grow their brands and strengthen their online presence. My track record includes launching products that drive organizational growth, building digital experiences, and championing ethical data practices in regulated industries.
When I'm not working on people-process-technology problems, you can find me enjoying Salt Lake City's food with my wife and our two rescue dogs.
